Executive Summary
After summering with Gardiner Roberts in 2021, Michael completed his LL.M. at Osgoode Hall Law School and has returned to Gardiner Roberts to complete his articles for the 2022-2023 term. He previously earned a J.D. with First Class Honors from Bond University, Faculty of Law and a B.A. from the University of Western Ontario.
While in law school, Michael was elected as the President of the Canadian Law Students’ Association. In this role, he led a team of nine directors to deliver professional, educational, and social initiatives to law students. In addition to this, Michael mooted throughout law school, competing in the 2019 Sir Alfred Deakin International Commercial Arbitration Moot and the 2020 Wilson Moot. He was also involved with intrafaculty moot competitions as both a judge and as a team mentor for participants. Furthermore, Michael volunteered as a student editor for Law Review and as a student advisor in the Litigation Clinic and the Start-up Law Clinic. Throughout law school Michael was recognized for his academic achievements, having received the Vice Chancellor’s Award for Academic Excellence three times, in addition to earning several Top of Class awards in courses including Business Associations, Civil Procedure, and Trial Advocacy, amongst others.
During his free time, Michael enjoys playing golf and hockey, as well as exercising and travelling.
