Executive Summary
Eli graduated from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law in 2020. He has a Bachelor of Commerce with a Marketing specialization and a Minor in History from the University of British Columbia.
As Pro Bono Students Canada’s Family Law Project Coordinator, Eli has drafted affidavits, ex parte motions and applications for unrepresented litigants in both Superior Court and the Ontario Court of Justice. Prior to law school, Eli worked as a tour guide in Toronto and ran his own small business cleaning barbeques.
Eli has been recognized for his oral advocacy prowess, winning the “Top Appellant Team” at the 2019 Frank W. Callaghan Memorial Moot and “Most Outstanding Moot Team” at UBC’s 2017 Undergraduate Moot Court Competition.
Eli was a summer student at Gardiner Roberts in 2019 and has returned to article for the 2020-2021 term. At the firm his work has ranged from litigating in small claims court to assisting on complex commercial real estate transactions and everything in between.
When not in the office, you can find Eli geocaching or exploring Toronto’s fascinating history. He is currently on the hunt to find the best Caesar (cocktail) in Canada.
