He has deep expertise working with clients to identify notable commercial features in their products and then to develop appropriate strategies to protect and commercialize those features. Prior to his legal career, he worked for a major international computer company, a medical device company and an international stereo equipment company.

He assists in developing and managing world-wide trademark portfolios for a major Canadian lumber supplier and an international charity related to a chronic disease.

Bob has been a panel member on several presentations relating to protecting inventions through patents, the state of business method patents in the world and IP strategies for new product and service deployments.
Bob has been a lecturer on IP commercialization strategies at the University of Toronto’s GP LLM program and a tutor for patent drafting sessions at the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada (IPIC) at the IPIC/McGill summer patent courses.
