Executive Summary

Dawn has over 25 years experience in real property transactions. Currently she works alongside lawyers searching titles, obtaining and reviewing off title searches and closing both commercial and residential real estate transactions.

Her responsibilities include searching titles, drafting agreement of purchase and sale, completing and reviewing title searches, meeting with clients, drafting requisition letters, completing off title searches, preparing transaction closing documents, preparation and submission of documents with respect to trustee transfers and preparation and registration of various estate related conveyancing documents. Dawn is also responsible for preparation and registration of Construction Liens for various departments in the firm.

She has handled numerous transactions for one of the largest land holders in the Greater Toronto Area, performing various title and off title searches, preparing and registering easements, restrictions and agreements, drafting opinions, as well as most aspects of both acquisition and sale transactions.

Dawn is our designated Teranet representative and provides Teraview training for new hires to the firm.

  • Acting on behalf of the Vendor in a 200+ property assignment of various clean energy leases
  • Searching and drafting lien documentation with respect to a multiple property windfarm project on behalf of the lien claimant
  • A project which involved acting on behalf of a public body client in the acquisition of various waterfront lands, including the preparation and registration of easements, agreements and restrictions
