2015 Summer Students
Nitai is entering his third year of law school at the University of Toronto. Before studying at U of T Nitai completed his BA at McGill University in History and Political Science where he was a co-captain of the McGill Redmen rugby team. While at McGill Nitai worked for the Israeli Consul General in Montreal and prior to attending U of T Nitai also worked as a tour guide and researcher at the Juno Beach Centre in Courseulles-Sur-Mer, Normandy, France.
At U of T Nitai is the captain of the Varsity Blues men’s rugby team, a co-captain of the U of T law games team and is actively involved in the Sports and Entertainment Society. He has been involved with Pro Bono Students of Canada, researching and drafting a policy paper on hate crimes in the national LGBTQ community and acts a peer mentor for incoming students. After his first year in law school Nitai worked with the in-house legal counsel and business development team at a major film company.
Nitai speaks English, French, Hebrew and Yiddish and is working on his Mandarin Chinese. He enjoys playing rugby, musical theatre, travelling and reading.

Jonathan is entering his third year of law school at the Queen’s University Faculty of Law. Before studying law, he completed an MA and BA from the University of Windsor and worked for an Ontario Member of Provincial Parliament. During graduate school, he worked for the Jerusalem Old City Initiative, a diplomacy project housed at the University of Windsor.
At Queen’s, Jonathan has worked with Pro Bono Radio and the Queen’s Law publication Juris Diction. He attended the Bader Centre for International Studies in East Sussex, England where he studied International Business Law. In his second year of law school Jonathan competed in Vienna for Queen’s at the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot. His team participated in the elimination rounds and Jonathan was awarded an oral advocate designation.
Jonathan enjoys travelling, playing rugby, reading and cooking.

Dasha is entering her third year of law school at the University of Western Ontario. Before studying law, Dasha earned her B Sc (Hon) in psychology at the University of Toronto. Dasha was a member and later the captain of the Canadian national taekwondo team for nine years. She is a two-time Pan American champion, a US Open champion, and was ranked 5th in the world. She has been a long standing director of Taekwondo Canada’s board, and is also the Vice-President of AthletesCAN. In 2013, she was appointed by the Minister of Sport to the board of the Sport Dispute Resolution Centre of Canada. Prior to summering at Gardiner Roberts, Dasha completed a legal internship at the National Basketball Association in New York.
At Western, Dasha received the Humanitarian Honourable Recognition Award for her work with the Olive Branch for Children in Tanzania, where she travelled with a team to lead an artistic development and empowerment program.
Dasha is an avid supporter of the arts, and has a passion for theatre in particular. Her love for adventure led to her climb Mount Kilimanjaro in 2008, and Machu Picchu in 2012. She also enjoys cooking, travel, and beach volleyball.
